A little lie can change the course of everything. . .

Like every other eighteen-year-old in love, Olivia has dreams of spending forever with the love of her life. Luke is all she’s ever wanted – until she overhears something she was never meant to. In a matter of seconds, Olivia’s heart is shattered. Olivia handles it the only way she knows how - she runs- leaving behind her family, friends and the boy she loves.

Seeking comfort and an escape, Olivia finds it in resident bad boy Deacon. He’s everything Luke isn’t – and that’s fine with Olivia.

Now, seven years later, Olivia is older, wiser and headed back to Chicago looking forward to a fresh start and reconnecting with her best friend Pyper. What she doesn’t expect, is to come face to face with the boy she left behind and discover that even though she may have left, her feelings for him didn’t.

Can Olivia put aside the pain in her heart and trust Luke? Will the ties to her past ever let her go, or will she continue to let her life be affected by pretty little lies?

As her powers progress unwanted attention is aimed Alysun's way and evil won't stay away long. Control is the only thing that can help her but anger is sometimes harder to let go than you think

Excerpt:

"I love you, my sun."
I laughed."I'll never understand why you call me that."
"Because that's what you are. You're my light in a long tunnel of darkness."
Laughing louder now."What would you know about darkness? I bet you've never seen a dark day in your life. "
His face became serious. "Only the days I'm not with you."

Review:
This book starts off like any normal teenagers life that has been ripped apart. She is taken from her life that she loved and the boyfriend that she loves. Her mom takes her from town to town, only staying a couple months at each place. Aly has gotten used to the idea of always being the new girl, even though she hates it, the stares have became a normal thing. On the way to there next town in Ohio, the author reveals a little about Aly, her power, electricity. In all effort to keep her safe, her mom takes her to a friend of Aly's father, who surprisingly ended up being nothing like what Aly was expecting. But where her mom thought would keep her safe, and unknown to the truth. She was wrong. Aly ends up finding out her true powers and who she really is...
I enjoyed reading the story of Aly and her friends and family, it definitely kept you on your toes, waiting to see what happens next. This book is a book you can not put down until the last page, and even then your itching for more.
It did have some typos, spelling issues, and grammar issues, but you can get the gist of what the author is trying to say. Hopefully she can get a new editor. :)
I am giving this book a 5 star rating... even though it did have the grammar problems, I still believe the story deserves it.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes the whole Paranormal books, or Young Adult books, if you have a few hours to spare, and want to read this book will take you to Hinckley, Ohio.

Review:

I was given this book to do a honest review.
I thought the author did a great job to portray all the characters. Gracie is a young lady, who was just searching for love but always found jerks. but love does funny things and when she wasn't looking she found love for Ash. "being gay" she opened up to him like she would a friend .... but what she wasn't expecting to do is fall for this gay guy. The story has many parts that just wants you to just choke someone and many parts where you just fall in love with the story. I find this book is a book many people can relate to from their own experience. It just shows that even if your life is full of Hudsons there is a Ash for Everyone. Gracie didn't have to experience anything alone she had her room mates and her best friend Cameron that is a life alot of us wishes we had. I rate this book a 5 for not only giving me another book boyfriend but for the awesome book that I and many more can relate to!.

Knotted
by: Quenby Olson
268 pages
  • Publisher: World Tree Publishing (June 10, 2013)

Synopsis:
When seventeen-year-old Olivia Davies receives a phone call from her estranged father in the middle of the night, she’s in for a huge shock. Her father is getting married - again - and he wants her to be at the wedding. So over summer break, Olivia packs her bags and makes the trip back to England to meet her future stepmother. But instead of the middle-aged woman she expected, Olivia finds herself introduced to Emmy Balfour, a stunning blonde young enough to be her sister. And if that wasn’t enough, she also finds herself dealing with the disapproval of Emmy’s older brother, Ian, a man for whom “polite” and “respect” seem to be four-letter words.

With only three weeks until the wedding, Olivia struggles to stay afloat while navigating the treacherous waters of wedding planners, aristocracy, and bridesmaid’s dresses - not to mention the bridesmaids in the dresses. But just when she thinks everything is finally settling down, a few well-timed lies threaten to destroy her father’s chance at happiness. As a last resort, Olivia must work with Ian in an attempt to set things right, a partnership that forces her to decide if keeping him at a distance or disregarding her first impressions of him will cause her to step up and make a few changes in her own life.

Review:

I was given this book to do a honest review.
This is a book you can not judge by the cover. I was skeptic when I first saw this book. I didn't think I would like it...yes I guess I do judge the book by the cover.. and this cover I didn't find appealing.
BUT!!!! I read the book. And I read.... and I read... the book was awesome.... I couldn't wait to find out what happened in the end! The book was a book of cliff hangers it made you want more and more .... This is def a book I would recommend a reader that loves this genre!
