Two years ago Alysun David's life was normal. Great school. Wonderful boyfriend. But after one night of being abandoned at her high school dance nothing was ever the same. Powers Alysun could never imagine have developed and her anger triggers them. Terrified, her mother constantly keeps them on the move until they finally find themselves in the company of her mother's old friend...who doesn't look that old at all. Even in the small town of Hinckley, Ohio things seem to only get worse for Alysun and her heart longs for the one person that could help her. As her powers progress unwanted attention is aimed Alysun's way and evil won't stay away long. Control is the only thing that can help her but anger is sometimes harder to let go than you think

Excerpt:

"I love you, my sun."
I laughed."I'll never understand why you call me that."
"Because that's what you are. You're my light in a long tunnel of darkness."
Laughing louder now."What would you know about darkness? I bet you've never seen a dark day in your life. "
His face became serious. "Only the days I'm not with you."

Review:
This book starts off like any normal teenagers life that has been ripped apart. She is taken from her life that she loved and the boyfriend that she loves. Her mom takes her from town to town, only staying a couple months at each place. Aly has gotten used to the idea of always being the new girl, even though she hates it, the stares have became a normal thing. On the way to there next town in Ohio, the author reveals a little about Aly, her power, electricity. In all effort to keep her safe, her mom takes her to a friend of Aly's father, who surprisingly ended up being nothing like what Aly was expecting. But where her mom thought would keep her safe, and unknown to the truth. She was wrong. Aly ends up finding out her true powers and who she really is...
I enjoyed reading the story of Aly and her friends and family, it definitely kept you on your toes, waiting to see what happens next. This book is a book you can not put down until the last page, and even then your itching for more.
It did have some typos, spelling issues, and grammar issues, but you can get the gist of what the author is trying to say. Hopefully she can get a new editor. :)
I am giving this book a 5 star rating... even though it did have the grammar problems, I still believe the story deserves it.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes the whole Paranormal books, or Young Adult books, if you have a few hours to spare, and want to read this book will take you to Hinckley, Ohio.
