My encounter with Julien Belmont wasn't pleasant. Suzie didn't want to piss off the already distraught Julien, so she thought it was a better idea to wait him out, figuring that eventually he would have to go home and rest. Welp, that didn't quite go as planned since the chump looked as though he was planning on moving right in with Emily in the hospital. Freaking kiss-ass!
When Suzie came downstairs and told me that I had five minutes before Julien got back from the restroom, I groaned in annoyance. This was so freaking wrong. I had been with Emily for years. This lame guy just got here, and I was now being forced to sneak around and tip toe around him as if he was some freaking God.
Just get to Emily!
When we got upstairs, Emily laid seemingly asleep. Her frail, small body was bandaged up in various places. The centerpiece, her head, had suffered the most damage. My heart broke at the sight. Thoughts of her laughing and enjoying life flooded my mind as I watched the contrasting void expression on her face.
“They put her in an induced coma to allow her body time to heal. Something about swelling in her head,” Suzie said while fighting a fresh wave of tears.
I stared at my girl, my heart aching, knowing that there wasn't much I could do to help her other than let her know that I was here with her.
“Baby girl, what did I tell you about talking on the phone and driving, huh? I swear you’re trying to kill me. Don’t you know I love you? I’ll always love you, sweet girl.”
“Just what in the hell do you think you’re doing?” I heard from behind me before someone grabbed hold of my uniform work shirt.
Needless to say, Mr. Tall-dark-and-handsome was a pain in my ass! French! Emily was dating a freaking Frenchman. How the hell was I going to compete with that shit!

My Review 

Jacqs finds herself in a on again off again relationship with her ex. They were together for years. She was in love with him, but he wouldn't commit to her and stop the other relationships with other women. They were best friends, Jacqs and Bond, they have a "one-night -stand" one night, and Jacqs finds her self mixed up in the mess again as he hurries her out of his bed the next morning for a date. 

Bonds best friend, Red, has stood by watching Bond treat Jacqs this way for many years, and decides to take a chance to make her happy him self. 

What happens next.. you will have to find out. This book kept me .... hot.... it was very well written!  If you are in to Dom/ Sub it has a little in it... not as much as other books I have read... but it was just right. It had bondage, and other sex toys and acts. I hope Jacqs and her new family have a fun time figuring out how to make it work ...sounded like they were doing great!!!

My Review

I enjoyed this book, it starts off where the first book ends. Throwing you right into action. Linc and Ven's relationship grows and gets heated. She learns to trust more with her secret. I am not a spoiler so I will not elaborate on the facts of the book. You will just have to read it!!!!! It is a great book! All books I have read by Heather has been great!!!! Can't wait for more!!!!

My Review

Ven is a clone, a "Imitation", of the "Authentic" Raven. She is to move out of her town and move in to the role of her  Authentic, to help fish out the people who are after Raven. She has to act like her, dress like her, learn everything about her and her circle. She finds out that her role is a party, "promiscuous" girl, who is self centered. A total opposite of her own personality. Her dad... a butt head..... threatens her to act her role or she will be terminated. She endures attacks, trying to fish out the bad guys. She meets one person who she trust, her body guard. 

I was asked to review this book for the author. 

I enjoyed being introduced into this book series. The author does a great job opening the story, and keeping you going without giving to much of the ending. It is a romance novel, and a thriller at the same time. I will be reviewing the next book and reading the ones to come!!!! This not being my first of the authors books, I have enjoyed how the author makes you feel what each character is feeling. Great  Book !!!!

“Deanna.” Roarke's eyes were a bright angry red. Incoherent words spilled from his mouth. “I told her to wait in the room.”
“With everything that's going on, I am certain she left the room to escape, Roarke. Roarke! Son! Listen to me!”
Roarke's head snapped toward his father. Slowly, the red subsided to burnt orange, then to silver blue.
“Go.” The Hamilton nudged his head toward the Great Hall. “She might be there with the rest of those who are readying to leave.”
They heard the collective screeches of triumph from outside the walls.
“Fall back!” The Hamilton commanded, his face grim.
Everyone swiftly escaped to the secret passageway behind the dais in the Great Hall. After everyone had passed through, two of their warriors lit the charges from the mouth of the cave. They were only a few feet away when they were thrown off by the explosion. Picking themselves up, they followed the retreating inhabitants of Hamel Dun Creag.
The Cynn Cruor made their way to the rendezvous base nearby. It had been built exactly for this purpose—the possibility of the Faesten being overrun. Through the centuries the warriors and their families, under The Hamilton's command and protection, painstakingly chipped away stone and rock to construct Hamel Dun Uiamh. With the Ancient Eald's help, along with the Cynn architects and mortals, the caverns now resembled an underground city.
The wounded were treated by the healers. The warriors who were bonded found stone rooms and other secluded areas so their spouses could help them heal.
The next day, scouts reported that the Scatha Cruor had left, leaving Hamel Dun Creag in ruins. Roarke finally found Deanna's charred body among the debris, identifying her from the dagger still clutched in her hand. He took her body from the rubble and carefully wrapped it in a shroud filled with heather and lavender. “You okay?” Roarke looked at his second-in-command. 
Finn nodded.
“Where is she?”
“It's not necessary, Roarke. She won't bother us,” he said, his jaw clenching.
Finn heard him sigh slowly.
“You know I can't allow that.”
Finn swore underneath his breath before he breathed heavily. Roarke was right. They needed to erase her memory about the existence of the Cruor. For both their sakes. It was how the Cynn had survived this long. It was also how mortals continued on with their lives, not knowing the depths of evil existing in the world. A Cynn Cruor warrior could never reveal their secrets to a human unless they claimed one as their Mate. Until then their two worlds had to remain separate.
Erasing the female’s memory was also the only way to help her remove the self-loathing she had for what they’d shared. She would not remember him. She would not remember the kiss. Finn felt as if a stone lay heavily in his gut.
“I'll do it.”
Roarke arched a thick eyebrow, his arms crossed over his muscled chest.

Roarke stared at Graeme, Blake, and Zac several feet away from them. They were picking up the Scatha's clothes to dispose of them in a safe place.
“Does she mean that much to you?” Roarke asked, looking at him with curiosity.
The question was unexpected and it startled Finn. His eyes narrowed before turning to look at his Cynn Cruor brethren as well.
“It will pass.”
For once Finn became uncomfortable under Roarke's censure, but eventually his team leader’s shoulders appeared to relax. He nodded.
“Let's hope so. For your sake.” He spared Finn a glance before ordering the rest of the Cynn to head back to the Faesten.
